Monticello Plant hosts Board of Directors

After a lease expiration, one of our 18 manufacturing plants recently undertook the task of moving to a new location: Riverside, California. Starting in early 2019, the process of moving from the Mira Loma, Calif. location to our new Riverside location began for both our manufacturing plant and Service Center. Riverside was selected because of the similar commute it offered, which made the transition as easy as possible for our employees. In addition, we were able to increase the square footage by 148,000 sq.ft. allowing for an improved layout while maintaining a safe work environment.

MOVING BY THE NUMBERS

  • 17 miles from the previous location
  • 360,000 total square feet
  • 150 unique assets transported
  • 230 manufacturing and support team members
  • 60 service center team members

“The first day of production in the new space was December 18, and we expect to have all departments fully operational in Riverside by the end of January,” said Mike Pitts, Plant Manager. “The building is newer and nicer in general and being larger gives us safety and layout and flow benefits that we didn’t have in Mira Loma. I think our employees have been pleased with how everything has turned out.”
